RSV

it has hit the house.... my poor Brie I think feels like a Mack truck has hit her. Temp this morning was 104.5, breathing over 100 times a minute and nasty, frothy, very stringy mucous. Aside from being attached to her momma she is doing ok. We are doing nebulizers very frequently and trying to stay on top of the temp. Poor little thing, it was only a matter of time before it caught up with her, too bad it got her at all though.

PJ too is wheezing and thus needing nebulizers as well but he does not miss many beats while doing them. He has a list that I must obtain for him prior to his cooperation with the nebs(night nights, toy, pillow, cup, and it goes on.....)
So that fills you in on what has been happening here, not too fun. The little three were even on Augmentin until Sat. morning. Thank goodness otherwise I would be more concerned. Cross your fingers today is the worst day for Brie and then things will improve. Crying baby, gotta go(unfortunately we are only getting about 20 minute naps!)

pre Valentines

Pete was working all day Saturday so I thought it would be a good time to do Valentines. One never knows what tomorrow will bring so we definately try to get these done ahead of time. The kids are "signing" their cards.
Here we are stuffing our ziploc baggies with the card and goodies. Makayla had to do 37, Maggie had 30 and I cheated and combined PJ and Brie's and he had to stuff 12 bags. A good time was had by all and it only took 2 hours! One more thing off my to do list. Of course they all think Valentines Day should be today.

Augmentin

No photo this time just a note. Talking to this great doctor I know it was decided that 2 of the little 3 needed an appointment. So over lunch Wednesday I had him look at Maggie = pneumonia!, then he checked Pudgles = ear infection (in the ear that the tube fell out, for the second time), so we only discussed Miss Brie and diagnosed her with sinus infection. Seriously Augmentin made some money off this family yesterday! So we are literally hanging out today in comfy clothes with no plans to leave. Food as they request it and lots of snuggles, sorry house I will get to you another day. All in all everyone really is doing okay, just alittle grumpy and tired. Hoping we can ALL take naps this afternoon and catch up on the lost sleep! Have a good day and thanks for reading.

red cheeks, snow recovery

Everyone enjoyed the snow long enough to get very red cheeks. Hot chocolate was definately called for! I think PJ enjoyed it the most. Maggie apparently was not thrilled with the idea of having to come inside.

I promise I did not keep Gabriellie out too long, I think Jack Frost found her quickly as these cheeks do not get exposed to him hardly ever! She did not get to partake in any hot chocolate but instead a nice warm bottle of formula!!
Maggie's comment in getting ready to go out, "geez, it takes a lot of work to get us all ready to go outside, huh?" Thats right Maggie, that is why we do not do this very often. "Well thanks a lot mom, I really like playing in the snow and you're the best mom ever!" No problem Maggie, I love you too. I absolutely LOVE some of the things these little people say!!

more playing in the snow

Brie and PJ missed out on the last romp in the snow. Today we decided they too could join the big girls for a bit. Our temps are supposed to fall after tomorrow so we headed outside to enjoy the pretty white fluffy stuff once again. Brie is NOT a fan of the eskimo suit. No hands, unable to move and a cold face did not make her a happy baby for her first time in the snow.

She was quite curious as to why her siblings thought it was so fun though.
Makayla getting ready to roll.

Maggie rolling....

PJ however was the opposite of Brie and absolutely LOVED it. I think half the front yard of snow ended up in his boots. That did not stop him from having a blast.

Brie was not into rolling around in the snow. Maybe next year.

Snow days

The latest snow was a good time for the girls. We got them out to play before the wind set in . After 90 minutes I made them come in and warm up. Kayla tried hard to clear the driveway and Maggie simply enjoyed eating the snow! PJ missed out on the fun due to a nap. We are due for more snow however I think we have enough Mr. Weatherman!

Teething

Miss Brie has been a bit difficult lately! She is still trying to get these top 4 teeth in! We are getting a lot of these full, goofey, cheesey grins! Her upper gumline is bleeding at the drop of a hat lately too. Poor little thing, it has to hurt! We are hoping they make there total appearance soon, so we can all move on and have a happier baby thus a happier house!

grandma time

Makayla's Christmas break was a little longer than our vacation days allowed so she spent a few days with grandma and grandpa. She was so thrilled to be able to go without her siblings and just hang out with them. I think they really wore each other out. None the less a great time was had by Makayla and she wonders when they can do it again. Maggie was quick to chime in and state she will be the one getting to stay alone with grandma the next time! PJ too gets in on the conversation and states he often wants to drive to grandmas! I explained it is a long drive and he says "ok, lets go". No distance is too far for the love these little people have for their grandparents. Thanks to all who made Makayla's trip fun and memorable.

Brie 11 months

Gabriellie is now 11 months old! She much prefers to play with her exersaucer from the outside these days. She is walking around everything, and is very mobile. Her favorite song as of late is Ring Around the Rosie, she loves to say ashes ashes in the sweetest Brie way ever! She is cutting 3 teeth today and seems to maintain a fairly good attitude towards it all. She loves anything music and dancing! Her siblings are a constant ring of entertainment. Brie did excellent with all the holiday happenings and people, traveled well and socialized with everyone nicely. We had the tubes almost 2 weeks ago and she is doing great. Somewhere in anesthesia land she learned how to squeal like her auntie! loud and she loves everyones reaction thus it continues. At her physical for surgery she weighed in at 21# 6 and 30 inches. Brie continues to be the littlest of our babies, but she is mighty! She is a good sleeper, down by 8 and up around 8. Then she naps quick in the morning and then a good afternoon nap. Average of four 6 ounce formula bottles a day and has taken a great liking to her bottles lately. Hopefully this will not backfire when we try to take them away. I am confident this is a phase while she is teething so badly lately. She will happily take a cup, even if it is not hers! She eats all table food and refuses baby food. Watching her siblings play WII, helping unload the dishwasher, racing for the gate when it is left open(so she can climb the steps!), and tormenting her siblings are all on the top of Brie's list. I hope each of you reading has a little someone special in your life that you can give alittle squeeze and smile as this time goes far too quickly. We love our little Gabriellie and would not change a thing.

big boy bed

PJ came ot find us 3 times in 2 days so we decided it was time for him to go to the big boy bed! I had just said recently too that I was in no hurry to move him to the big bed. We thought it was safer to move him to the big bed as opposed to him falling out of his crib, or worse yet breaking a leg trying to get out of his bed.
So the door was not enough to keep him from wandering the house all hours of the night that we had to add a gate. The poor little thing did not care about any scary things I said were under his bed to keep him in bed. He just continues to get out at random. It has taken some work but I have gotten him convinced to talk into the monitor if he needs me.

Hopefully he will not shake the gate too much and realize that he can knock it down. So yes he is in a big bed but he is a little captured prisoner in his own room.

3 little monkeys

3 little monkeys sleeping in the bed, none rolled over so the momma and dadda said we will sleep elsewhere! All the kids were sound asleep in our bed so just for that night we choose alternate beds to sleep in. Nothing compares to your own bed so next time they will all be walked back to their own beds! Pete also did not like the 5:45 wake up visit from PJ:~). Too cute to not share.
