Sweet baby

So here is your 12 week photo folks. She had a photo session at Sears yesterday so was not into smiling anymore this morning. Still a sweet face just no smile. Isn't she just so squishy cute!!!

So here is how I get greeted in the morning! It has to be the most pleasant way to wake up! Once again turn your speaker on, mute the music at the bottom of the blog, and hit the play button and listen away. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I hope to capture some of her giggles soon but that my friends is a work in progress!

Boxes

Nothing beats a big empty cardboard box! The kids had plenty of playtime in the wagon box. It is now in the basement for more hours of play. I might even cut a hole in one side someday to change things up a bit! :~) oh the simple days of just playing, I remember those......

Brie 12 weeks

So here we are 12 weeks. I do not have a photo of just Brie today. I promise I have something special planned for the next posting if she will cooperate! I cannot believe my baby is 12 weeks already. Time really is flying now, we will see if it continues as I return to work. Yes folks Monday is coming and none of us are ready! I do not think we would be ready anytime though. The little ones and I have become very close and my middle 2 have become quite shy around "strangers". This is a new concept for our family. Next week I have no doubt will be a bit rough for everyone but life goes on and we too will get into a new routine. Miss Brie has taken to waking again at 4 am and I am hoping that swings back to the 6 am time . She has become quite the little social lady, loves an audience that is completely devoted to her! She is not sleeping nearly as much anymore and wants to be involved with whatever is going on!

Hand Me Downs

So thanks to a co worker whose little ones are not so little now we are aquiring some of her guy's things. I thought this was a great thing for us as boy things around here are not as plentiful as the girlie things. Due to the photo to the right I am rethinking my happiness.:~)

PJ really is enjoying the new table and chairs! Many more memories are sure to come to our house because of Nicole's kindness! Thanks dear they really are enjoying the "new toys".

Whipped Cream

So I had to work on Saturday and learn a new computer program. Pete was to have all the children all day and granny and pop came to the rescue. They arrived Friday night and we had yummy Paglias! Saturday evening granny bought ribs for us to enjoy. We had friends over and ice cream for dessert. Let me tell you my son now knows what whipped cream is as granny put a big old pile on his tray and gave him a spoon. Pop was very encouraging for PJ to enjoy just a bit more too.

Obviously a new favorite food!

Even willing to share a couple last bites with Pop.

It was very fun having them for the weekend and getting in some quality time. Brie faired okay Saturday without her mommy but Pete did bring her to me over lunch; so mommy did okay too. Saunday was a trip to a birthday party where the kiddos played hard and had a good time. So hard that we got home ate supper, bathed them, snuggled as a family for a bit, and then all were in bed at 7! Brie went down at 7:45 and I was crawling in my bed at 8:45!! I cannot tell you the last time I saw my pillow that early, it was wonderful!

Brie 11 weeks

11 weeks, not a lot has changed this week with her. She has found eating her fist to be fun and is starting to reach out toward my face. She also has discovered that I am attached to the nursing, I will explain. As she is nursing she will pull off and look at me and get the biggest, happiest smile she can do. Very sweet but apparently prior to about Sat. she did not know my face was there the whole time. We are having a bit of a more quiet week. A visit from a dear friend Tuesday, alittle shopping and looking forward to granny and pop at the end of the week.
This video shows PJ's love of his sister! He is always trying to snuggle, squeeze, and chat with her.You will need your sound on for this one. With that being said you will have to go to the bottom and turn that music down low or mute it and then play the video so you can hear him talking to her. He knows she loves his "A Goo" the most. Hopefully this video thing will work! Enjoy.

Play and work

Pete was in charge of a conference Friday and Saturday so we got help from grandma and grandpa while he was away. We played some games, watched some movies, played outside, snuggled a bit and had a good time bonding with them. The kiddos so enjoy having the grandparents at their house.

There was plenty of work done by grandma! Storage room organized, closets changed to spring, clothes packed away, ironing and wash done and babysitting(while I escaped for a 3 hour highlight).

A good-bye to the grandparents , a walk around the neighborhood meeting new friends and a trip to the local IHOP with a gift card from the Bostonians! Thanks guys! I am going to sit on the couch and snuggle a baby! (who is jealous?) Have a good Monday all!

Brie 10 weeks

We are 10 weeks old. She has been sleeping through the night! yea!! down around 930 if I am ready for that and then up at 5 or 6 for a feeding and not up for the day till 930!! She has become more verbal and loves her siblings! She recently found her fist and is trying hard to get that thumb to work the way she wants. Is generally a good baby, cries when hungry or tired, or if daddy is holding her( they have yet to figure out their relationship, but they continue to work on it daily)

PJ absolutely loves his baby sister!! We were gone this weekend and he went crazy Sunday reuniting with her! Lots of extra nice kisses, notice the worry on her face? pretty typical look for Brie when PJ is around. They really do very well together though. PJ has started copying us, goes over to Brie, gets in her face and says :" a goo Brie a goo!" of course she smiles and he moves on. I am afraid he may have the hardest time getting back into daycare.

Obviously they are thinking of a plan for later to get back at those big sisters. Brie had a huge smile right after the flash of the camera, imagine that!

Of course Maggie could not be left out of the pictures this morning! Unlike PJ Maggie is thrilled to be returning to daycare and her friends! She has had to do the most adjusting with the two babies but is doing as expected. She is still Maggie, I do not need to say more. We love her dearly.
All of the kids are a blessing and God knew what her was doing when he gave us Brie earlier than planned. It is a busy house but we are managing and trying to savor every moment.

Outdoor fun

We are all certainly enjoying the wonderful outdoor temps we have had lately. It is a bit windy but that does not stop our fun!

Kicking around a ball.

Hitting a few balls, even if it isn't the right one.

A lovely pile of dirt that is a good time for all!

Swing set monkeys.

Check ups

Sorry for the delay bloggers, it has been a bit busy. We saw our fantastic pediatrician on Friday for the babes check ups and here is how they line up. PJ is 27 # 6 oz. (70%), 35" (off the top of the charts), and Miss Brie is 14# (90%) and 23" (75%). Both were right on track and doing fine. They each got 3 shots! ouch!! Brie screamed that evening like we have never heard but has recovered, thanks goodness. PJ was in shocked and cried but soon recovered when the cleaver doctor gave him a sucker!
Makayla, Brie and I went up for my nephews First Communion on Saturday and hung out at grandmas. One of my friends stopped for visit and a quick snuggle with the baby.
Sunday we had a friend of mine in from Sioux City, it was great to see them and catch up in person verses on the phone all the time. Today has been a day of laundry, dusting, vacuming, chasing kiddos, and clearing the "catch all" cupboard. I think I will sleep well tonight!

Devine company

So we had surprise company this evening. My cousin Di and her twinners, Trent and Cole (5 weeks older than PJ) were in town from St. Louis! It was very fun having her and the boys over to play. If you want entertainment just watch 3 eighteen month old boys play (who by the way did not have good naps) oh boy! Actually with the open finished basement they pretty much just ran! I bet everyone sleeps well tonight.

Shirtless was the only way to be for the boys. I wonder if we will have similar looking pictures in 15 years??

Of course the girls could not be left out of the fun. Again you take what you can get with this many eyes looking at the camera.

Brie 9 weeks

Here is my beautiful 9 weeker! We love all the rolls and can you tell we are alittle proud of her. She truly is such a joy! We did 2 month pictures this am and she tried to talk to the photographer more than make smiles. We did get a good one of her, however her big bother did not cooperate!!! We may not get an 18 month photo of that boy!! We are headed in for check ups at the end of the week, cross your fingers for us because it is shots for both! I will update with baby stats after the appointment. Have a good day all, thanks for following!

More Easter

Egg coloring at the grandparents has become tradition! PJ is really impressed with how they turn out.
Meeting the Easter bunny was a special treat at the family Easter gathering. Brie thought the bunny was very soft.

Not sure what Maggie is doing?

Pinata' is a tradition at the get together and everyone gets a turn at smacking the bunny!

Easter cont....

Kayla hunting eggs
PJ finding eggs in unlikely places?

Maggie hunting her eggs.

PJ definately had egg hunting figured out quickly.

PJ had a blast in the pool of eggs!

Brie wanted a turn also!

Our second attempt at a family of 6 photo. Many were taken and one sample says enough for all of them.

Finding the Easter baskets was a bit challenging but well worth the hunt. Kayla loves gumballs!!

Maggie's candy requests was twizzlers, that cleaver bunny even found rainbow ones!

PJ is thrilled with anything that is a ball so four was way more than he knew what to do with.

Brie was trying to smile for her basket photo. (almost)

The best we could get for an early am photo shot. Apparently it was brighter than I thought.

3 out of 4 isn't bad.
