Good times

Thanks to my sisters and mom the kiddos were able to enjoy some fresh peas from the garden. They thought they went well with the ice pops. Of course they enjoyed their snack in the pool! Maggie said this was the "funniest day ever" Kayla agreed but had to state that Christmas is the most fun first! At any rate as Pete and I cleaned and rearranged the garage the kiddos enjoyed water slides and the very small pool! We were able to convience some neighbors into helping move a large tv to the basement for a beer! Thanks gentleman!

Anniversary wishes

Brie and I traveled for my aunt and uncle's 50th Anniversary. So this is Brie's great Aunt Mary Jane and Uncle Morrie. They are such a special couple, such a model of true love. Itwas a nice day.

Here is one of my cousin's husband who just fell in love with Brie. If you wondered where Stephen was just look for Brie and he was not far away, such a nice fella!

Summer Days

So we have an easement behind our house that the girls call "the meadow", tall grass and wild flowers perfect for picking! The girlies beg constantly to go pick flowers! They believe me when I say Mary loves their flowers.(we have a Marian statue in the backyard)
Brie continues to like knuckle sandwiches however toes are a new found love! She has mastered a slow roll, but it has offically been witnessed by all except daddy. I think PJ was the most excited for her. As you can tell she continues to grow nicely, thighs that do not stop!

Father's Day

It was a pleasant Father's Day here. The babies allowed us to sleep in a bit, a nice breakfast and then off to church. This afternoon the big girls and I enjoyed the theater, High School Musical 2 was playing. Kayla got to take a friend and we all got autographs at the end. We had to walk through every puddle on the way to the car, no splashing as we were not in appropriate clothing for such fun. We got home and Pete opened his gifts with help. Supper, and then a family walk, baths, a game of Uno and then off to bed for the kiddos. Now peace and quiet for the adults. Hope all of you fathers out there had a fantastic day!

Carroll

The girls tripped to grandma's and grandpa's this week and spent a few days in Carroll! Because of these fabulous people they had a wonderful time! The drive home was hardly enough time to get everything explained what they did! From granny goats to swimming to that silly Auntie Marilyn a good time was had by both!

This morning I drove up for the bridal shower of a very sweet neice Ashley. The girls felt very special to be at a girls only party.

We departed the party early to hurry home for a neighbors Toy Story Birthday party. A party that will not be topped by this household. A bounce house, bubbles, chalk, drawing, you name it they had it! Every little kiddos of a great time! Now the girls and Pete are at the new Toy Story movie compliments of the party as well.

Brie 4 month check up

This is baby after shots! I tell you I could not ask for a better baby! She is just such a joy! She is definately not petit, see the rolls! Here are her stats:(drumroll please......) 17# 2 (97%) and 26 1/2" (97%) She is definately into cooing and getting all the attention she can. She did awesome over the weekend at my folks with all the company, did not mind anyone! I think she may have rolled tonight, though it was not witnessed so it doesn't count as one can never be sure how helpful PJ is when one is not looking. If not on her own I am sure rolling is not far off. Loves holding rattles and has pretty good aim when reaching out for a toy. Okay I am exhausted as my 17 pounder thinks she needs to be up 2 times a night the past couple nights and it is hitting me! darn growth spurts anyway, can't we just keep her this size?? she is so swishy cute as is!
Thanks for following and sorry for such a long delay recently. Good night!

Carroll trip

Godfather bonding between uncle "JEEFFF" and PJ this past weekend. Got a call at 9:30PM basically asking can PJ stay up and play? obviously I simply could not make him miss out on an opportunity to play with his favorite uncle!

We made a trip to Carroll for a memorial mass for an uncle that passed away this past January. It was a gathering at my folks with lots of cousins and all the aunts and uncles. A good time was had by all in spite of the rain. I did not manage to take one picture of the event though.

Pete and Kayla fished the day away on Saturday and had a fun time. The rest of us hung out at mom and dads visiting with all who stopped by.

Cowgirl Maggie

Miss Maggie strutting her stuff in a fancy cowgirl outfit stitched by her Auntie Carol! She thinks she is top dog in this little get up! I tell ya this girl can pull off any outfit. Thanks Auntie Carol it is a hit!

Girls weekend

Jill and I had a day trip to Iowa City recently. She had a photo shoot and I had a date with a very good friend Laurie! It is always nice to be able to talk in person sometimes! Brie too had a date, see we are trying to make these little people good friends already. The babies had a great time catching up and swaping crib stories. Mr. Mason is a month older than Miss Brie. I got a quick hug from Pop who was kind enough to drop something to me (thanks pop!) and then Jill and I were off to outlet shopping. We had a great time and closed the place down! I had good luck as did she! We managed to sneak in a few Brie photos in her studio so some of you may be recieving those sometime soon.

Bookcase

A hand me down from a co worker really changes the look of the girls' room. A very cute bookcase addition. It had to be the polly pocket doll house for the first week we had it, but alas it is now being used for the intended purpose.

Brie 4 mon & PJ 20 mon

I could not keep up with the weekly Brie updates and have resorted to monthly updates.

Brie is a very happy verbal baby lately! She is not a quiet conversationalist either! She loves watching her siblings and really tries to interact with them. She is still only nursing and has gotten in the habit of getting up once in the night, I would love to sleep the night through but I know this time will not last. She is still a stinker about taking her bottles at daycare but has otherwise proven to be a very good baby for them. PJ is also way more verbal these days. He is into trucks and trains and loves to see the horses on our drives to and from daycare. He too remains a very sweet little boy, always ready for the next hug or chance to hold Brie. PJ is total boy! bruises from head to toe, often not knowing where they are coming from. He has been without the binky for over a month so I guess we are offically broke of that habit (much to our pediatricians delight). I am very curious as to how much each of them weighs, maybe next week we will sneak in for a quick check.

The girls pose for a quick photo, friend Cameron did not want to be left out. Doesn't he have the best cheese!

The Ringling Bros. circus is in town this weekend. We had the wonderful opportunity to see the elephants walk from the train to the arena! Here the kids are waiting patiently and eagerly. PJ was thrilled with the police who were on motorcycles and cars stopping traffic.

Send in the elephants. We were on the perfect corner and got to see them 2 times!

Quite literally they there were, like less than 10 feet from us! It was neat to see and hopefully a fun memory for the kiddos.
