Bucket Head

So who needs toys when you have a bucket and the grandparents in town. Above PJ took to walking around with the scrub pail on his head, do not worry it was rinsed out well. He was entertainment for everyone to watch!

We were blessed to have my folks visit from Wednesday until Saturday. I am happy to report my dad did very well and seemed to enjoy the change of pace. We were able to capture a couple group shots, I will not tell you how many I took to get these 2. Please forgive the undone hair, lack of socks, mismatched outfits, and princess dress. That is just a glimpse of life here! what fun.

Mom was so helpful and energetic, she really is amazing! She just keeps going and going like the energizer bunny! Needless to say we/she got a lot done!
Have a nice day all.

Brie 3 weeks

Brie is 3 weeks old! Why can't they sleep this soundly at 4 am??? Our baby thinks she should have a party in her bed every 4 am! She I think is trying to change her sleep habits a bit. It is amazing how things change in only a week. We got a bit of a treat today, my parents drove in and are with us until Sat..It should prove to be entertaining for my dad to say the least. We are excited to have them here. Till next time. Karla

Carroll bound

The trip to Carroll was a good time! The girls were treated to an afternoon of sledding with Auntie Coke and cousin Holly.

As photographed Makayla is super sweaty from playing so hard.

Maggie is just overjoyed to be outside! Her favorite part was eating the snow, but not the yellow stuff!

Thanks girls they had a blast. So much fun up and down the hill that at bedtime Saturday night both girls were crying because their legs hurt so badly.

Brie was able to bond with grandpa, who's lap was perfect for a 2 hour nap!

We spent today recovering and catching up before the week begins again. Weekends really do go too quickly. We so enjoy spending time together all 6 of us!

Brie is big

Brie is a healthy girl. We went in today and she is 9 # 15 oz. and 22 1/2 inches long. Needless to say mama milk is agreeing with her and she is doing just fine. Last night she slept from 11:15 until 3:45 and then out until 6:30 or so, this is ok with me, hopefully it will continue. My co-worker found this headband for her and it is just so stinking cute I could not resist a photo. Have a good weekend, we are headed to grandma's and grandpa's for the day for a visit. Karla

Brie 2 weeks old

Hard to believe it has been 2 weeks. We are all in love. Trying to savor every day, and enjoy each moment. I am curious for her dr. appt. Friday as I wonder how big she is. Her days are spent eating, sleeping, pooping, just what a 2 weeker is supposed to do. Our nights could be a bit better but I am confident better nights are coming soon. We are up every 21/2 to 3 hours, but the awake time is shortening. Last night we were up and down in 30 minutes. I need to move her to her bedroom, but that seems so far away, plus she loves her mommy. The older kids continue to be very sweet to her and often have discussions as to who gets to hold her. PJ usually ends of winning as his holding time is very brief. Kayla is being picked up by a fellow parish member and being dropped at the house, this has worked out beautifully this week for me. It is wonderful to not have to drag everyone out each afternoon. We are grateful for this arrangement. PJ is going a bit stir crazy being house bound for the last 2 weeks, literally Pete had to take him for a car ride just so he could wear his coat and "go outside". I just do not have the energy, courage, or stamina to take the 3 little ones out just yet. Maggie is missing her school friends and is trying to figure out when she gets to go back to school. Overall we are all doing well. Aren't baby dreams the best, as noted in the photo below. Love those precious smiles.

On our own

Our first day home alone and we survived. No time outs and naps were taken. Some laundry and vacuming got done, I managed a shower and we also got our first picture of all 4 kiddos. Obviously Brie had other ideas but 3 looking at the camera is success in my book. Kayla returns to school tomorrow so we will see how that goes, she was very helpful today.

No more granny

Well Granny left us on Friday morning and we were on our own!!! Let me tell no dishes, laundry or cleaning got done Friday! Pete and Maggie left at 9 for a Valentine party at her daycare and to spend some time together. They did not return until 215! Thank God for Makayla who helped a ton with PJ! She is out of school until Tuesday for teacher in service. At any rate the day went ok. I even managed a nap.We managed to make homemade pizza last night and watch the Olympic ceremonies! As far as Brie the last 2 nights she has been asleep by 1130 and wakes for one hour at 230 and still sleeps until a brief feeding @ 6 and then not up until 10. I know this will not continue however I will take nights like this! I am off to bathe a baby and on to the next project! Karla

We have had an excellent first week and truely granny has been a god sent as the house has just continued and looks great! Tnhank you Thank you!!!! I will hopefully get better at this blogging thing as time goes on. Enjoy and check back. Karla
