Memorial Day

A very Happy Memorial Day to you all. We hope you all had a weekend of fun, relaxation, and good times.

We love our littlest star!

Outfits all compliment of our granny, we got lots of attention at church because of the matching kiddos! Thanks Granny!

He was not wanting to be photographed at this particular moment!

What a bunch!

Our weekend was spent with two sets of friends, one did not get photos and the other had lots!
Saturday we played with friends and enjoyed good food and company.
Monday we played hard with another set of friends! Our kids had a blast just running on the acerage, playing in the pools, riding tractors, having a picnic, going on a walk, playing chalk and on swings. They went all day long!

of course we had to enjoy a nice chilled watermelon! I was impressed with how well the kiddos ate the watermelon.

Brie 16 weeks

The lettering on the wall seems to be the trend now. I found this saying and just loved it from a friend, so a friend of the family made the letters for me. "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Do You Know How Loved You Are?" I had Pete put this up in Brie's room, I think it turned out just perfect.

Maggie is always up for a photo opp. now that she is the big 4!

Brie was especially happy today so I thought I would take a couple new pictures.
We went and toured a great vacation bible school that the girls will be doing together in a couple weeks. A very nice building and excellent teachers, I am sure they will have a blast.

Brie's latest love is knuckle sandwiches. She usually prefers her fists but if you have an extra finger she is fairly happy to chew on that as well. Over the last week she has started to join us at the dinner table as she does not like being left out. As the 5 of us are talking she is sure to get in a few words as well.

Party

Maggie had a good party with her grandparents, Uncle Mark and Auntie Carol. Thanks to everyone for traveling and making her have a great party.

Everyone got in on the opening process.

Brie so enjoyed all of granny's singing!

Pete 2, Pete 3, and Pete 4. That folks is why we say Pop, Pete and PJ.
A sincere try at a family picture.

Maggie is 4

What a day for my little Magdalene Jean! She started with her choice of breakfast at daycare(Lucky Charms, we had to buy the BIG box per her command). This day brings out all the special things for her at daycare. A special placemat, helper for the day, and decision maker. Doesn't the smile say a thousand words, she was so excited that she is finally big! "See how much I grew last night mama?"

She took special plates and napkins to share with all of her friends! We did mini rainbow cupcakes for morning snack, and pink cupcakes for lunch(pink frosting for the girls and blue for the boys all topped with sprinkles because "that is the most important part").

Afternoon snack was fruit snacks passed out by Maggie, and juice boxes. All the good nappers also earned a sticker that she got to put on them.

A small group of silly friends. "It is the best birthday party with all my school friends !"

A final Happy Birthday song and cake at home by the family and then off for cards and presents!

A bit of a messy look but an excited face none the less for the birthday finale! Presents are so fun! She had a great time opening and showing off the things she received.

Needless to say she had an EXCELLENT day and is ready for tomorrow to be her birthday again.
This new 4 year old should have very sweet dreams tonight after a full day of sugar!

weekends...

This is what you get on a lazy Sunday morning around our house. Some pajamas, and a whole lot of silliness! An impromptu photo opportunity, so please pardon the hair and attire. The kids were all horsing around together and paused for a few photos!

We really see them all interacting with each other quite often. It is not always the same two or three paired up. I think they all like each other equally. It is very fun to sit back and just observe them and how they love each other! Do you think I will have this kind of luck in 10 years when they are 16, 14, 12, and 11??? I am already praying for patience for those days:~).

We had some new friends come for dinner Saturday evening. They have 4 kiddos also, almost the same ages as ours. The kids had a great time as well as the parents! It is nice to meet new people who have similar views and interests. This could be the beginning of a long friendship so I had to take a picture.

Brie 14 weeks

Brie is 14 weeks today! We have 9 days of daycare under our belt. She is adjusting pretty well, but this week is refusing bottles after taking them very well last week.? She is definately a child of mine as she has her first ear infection. I was hoping she would take after Kayla and have good ears but no luck! She was up Friday night every 2 hours but has seemed a bit better everyday since then. A couple more days of bubble gum medicine and hopefully we are healed. I can get her to giggle pretty easily lately, so fun.

Obviously by the photo left she was not interested in the same thing he was! PJ just loves his sister!! I have to share a story, I will try to keep it brief: Last Monday was the first day of daycare. Both babies had rough first days, lots of tears. I came to pick them up at 5:15, PJ was standing next to Brie who was in a bouncer. I came in and they were across the room, I said "Hi PJ". He looked at me with a very red blotchy face and got a huge smile and sigh of relief. I expected him to come running toward me and he thought about it, however he quickly returned to Brie's side and grabbed her foot(as if I am not going unless she goes!) I tried to put on his coat and he refused until I had her all buckled in her seat, then he put on his coat. I am happy to report PJ is doing much better with daycare but still will not leave Brie's side at daycare as we are readying to go at night. I am so relieved to see that he really does like his sister and is not resentful toward her at all! Nothing beats happy sibling interaction.

Mother's Day

I have had a great day! 5 reasons to be happy, a great husband who is with me for everything.

A darling oldest who is exactly like her mom!
A full of spirit second that is always a fun challenge.

An adorable third who loves his momma the most and is always full speed ahead!

A precious forth for whom we are all greatful. She has definately completed our family and makes each of us smile.

They are all my rays of sunshine! It is only once you have become a mother that you are previlege to the intense love and overwhelming protection one feels. Every hug, smile, song sang, dance preformed, gesture given are all moments that make a mother feel pride. You each make me very proud! I hope you all know I love you more than words can say!
