St. Patty's Day
Here is our best picture of our green attire. PJ was full of shenanigans and Mags was not into pictures. This is Brie's best leprechaun face. hehe The holiday landed on a Monday, our busiest night so dinner was late and quick and not leaving much time for fun. We did manage to get chocolate covered strawberries and pears made for them to enjoy. Pete has our kids spoiled with these delicious treats! crazy lucky kids!! started the day with green Lucky Charms cereal and ended the day with chocolate covered fruit!!! Happy St. Patrick's day all!
Grandma games
My mom was in recently to watch the girls on a no school day and then hung out for the weekend. We took her to a living stations play, it was very well done, and enjoyed by each of us. Mom is still amazing laundry like crazy, mending, cooking, cleaning and watching the kids! We so appreciate all of her work and time. The kids absolutely having her in town. It is often a game marathon when she is here, who can play with her more! Pete and I were able to sneak off on a date and we went to an observatory. It was a neat little adventure, a chilly night but still pretty cool to look at the moon and Jupiter. Thanks mom once again we all love you and appreciate everything!!!
Brenda's house
We traveled to my nieces house recently and our kids had a great time! A great big thank you to Megan and Kymme for entertaining them! A thank you as well to Brenda and Kurt for letting us come and hang out! Saturday evening included a fashion show and gymnastics performance.
Brie requesting a picture after Megan had done her hair.
Brenda has a dog and he was well loved while my kids were in town. I am sure the dog was not sad to watch us back out of the driveway.
The kids had moments of downtime and were off in groups doing games or other things. Once again a big thank you for letting us hang out, we had a good time!

Dr. Seuss
Gabriellie is completely in love with Dr. Seuss. They celebrated for a couple weeks at preschool so Brie was thrilled. She loves the books. Her creative teacher had the kids make feet and blow horns to go with their hats.(tissue boxes with many glued tissue pieces.) She is such a hoot!
an unwelcomed guest!
Pete was home early on a Thursday with us and I looked out back. There was a random nasty looking possum walking toward our garden. Pete went out to scare him away and thought he looked sick. He called the Humane Society and they came. The lady simply chased the dumb thing up on someone's deck, she then grabbed it, checked it out and carried the dumb thing to the creek down the way from us and LET IT GO!!! uggg... I thought for sure we would be one less possum that day, this will be the last time I call them for help! should have let Pete put an arrow threw it! Though the things gave the kids over an hour worth of entertainment, so not a complete loss.
kindergarten round up
Not a good picture at all but this was PJ on the way out the door to kindergarten round up. He was so excited to go to the girls school and check all this kindergarten stuff out. The kids were separated from us and they went and played and we were left with administrators discussing the offerings and expectations of our school.
As they were discussing expectations it was mentioned that the kids should count to a certain number. Not a proud mommy moment here but I do not know what he can count to. While PJ and I were driving away I asked him what number he could count to. He replied 139, wondering why 139 I asked him why only 139? He quickly responded because when I get to 139 I get bored so I stop. I asked him then that night to count and he went to 139 and stopped. I asked what came next? he said mom 140 comes next but I told you already I get bored after 139 so I stop. He then got up from the chair and left the room we were in. I guess that answers that! Yes PJ I guess you are ready for kindergarten.

sledding
This is long overdue, but awhile back we sent sledding at my nieces house. My brother, sister-in-law, and sister joined us. We had a blast! It certainly did not look like there was much snow out there but there was enough to have fun!!
I think every one of us had a good wipe out along the way. PJ was getting pretty good at snowboarding by the time we were finished. I think those kids would have continued sledding into the night but we needed to get back home and ready for school the next day. Thank you to Jill and Eric for hosting an impromptu sledding party, a good time was had by all!
