grandma

The kids had a long weekend and so my mom came into town to hold down the fort and keep the peace while we worked and Pete was out of town. She is per usual, AMAZING!!! the energy this woman has is unmatched and the love she gives is just unconditional. I absolutely LOVE being able to spend time with her and too having the kids hang out with her and play games. THANK YOU momma!! for all you do for us! WE LOVE YOU!!! we even talked to mother nature and were able to order up 60 plus degree days for her while she was in town! ;-) This picture was the best I got! it was 60 degrees and trying to get them all together, hold still, and look at the camera, apparently impossible this time!

Makayla and Volleyball

Makayla too got the benefit of me bringing my camera to a game. She is fun to pick on! Her volleyball skills have really come along in this rec league this season. She is having a great time. She even got to hang out with our coaches second team and be a part of the championship series today! Such fun to watch these girls grow and have fun!

way to go girls and come out on top as CHAMPIONS!!!

Maggie in action

Maggie is playing a rec volleyball league and really enjoying the game ! She is doing quite well for having never had any instruction before! She is catching on quickly and enjoying some new friends as well. I was finally able to take my camera to a game and capture a few pictures. This day they won all their games so those are genuine smiles in the group picture!

Valentine's Day 2017

We celebrated Valentine's the Sunday before with what has become our traditional king crab leg, strawberry daiquiri and chocolate covered strawberry dinner. These kids are spoiled I tell you! as am I! so lucky to have such a great husband who does such a wonderful job of showing us his love everyday and especially on heart day! we too are lucky to have such loving kiddos!

mmmm....chocolate covered strawberries and pears!

Maggie and Gus are in heaven! First time for Gus enjoying this meal and he votes for this dessert to happen more often!

sick day

I had just made the comment that our house had not seen the GI flu in years! We after having all the family in town for Brie's birthday Gus started with it at 5:00! The poor little dude, he just did not know what to do, nor did he have a clue what his body was doing. All he could do was cry and want to be held by me. Pete would try to offer a relief and Gus always seem to vomit at that moment! Couple others vomited over the next couple days and the rest of us just had some general tummy upset but no vomiting! Thank goodness. We had very small, simple, bland diets that week. Poor little Gus dude took a full 2 weeks to get over it and I am still not 100% certain that he is back 100%.

Brie is 7!

We had one of those cool singing, twirling candle that opened up into a flower. Her Godmother Auntie Leigh Ann and Beth and Zach came in to celebrate the weekend with us. Godfather Brad and family plus grandma joined in the fun for Saturday.
Maggie and Beth decided to do each others makeup.

Sweet baby Gus and baby Kylie who is 3 to 4 months older than him were buddies for the day.
Couple last minute cheeses prior to people leaving.

Such a sweet little group of girlies! So fun to have them come over and listen to all their little giggles!
Happy Birthday Sweet Brie Cheese!

laundry

I usually spend my day off catching up on laundry. This particular day Gus thought he would be helpful and try his hand at folding clothes. Let's just say I will not be giving him an allowance anytime soon for his work.
