littles and soccer

We were lucky enough that PJ and Brie were on the same soccer team this spring. This is Brie's first season playing and she is catching on quickly. It is a little tricky having a lefty though.

A couple action shots of her.

PJ has been more than helpful teaching her how things are supposed to go. She takes his direction well and is usually right with him wherever he goes.

PJ is a couple action shots, he has a little more finesse. PJ is a big guy, this team he is on is based on age, 4 to 6 years old. Well PJ is on the top of the height charts against his soccer peers. Next year he moves up so it will be a whole new game for him.
Just thinking about his next move.... Our weather this spring on Wednesday nights has been cool, rainy, and windy but not enough to cancel the games. We have only had one night of the past 5 that was pleasant and sunny!

Art Winner

Makayla's art was chosen from her school to be entered into a larger city contest. Much to her surprise she was selected as a blue ribbon winner, as well as the Tres Bien Award. She really LOVES art and it was very neat to see one of her pieces selected and displayed.  We are a bit proud!! way to go Makayla!

spring has returned

Mowing grass at least weekly if not more often has returned. The monkeys have also been more than happy with the warm weather. For some reason simply swinging on the swings is just not enough fun, treating it like an obstacle course is a way better option in their minds. If we do not end up with a broken bone I will feel blessed!

Ariah

We were puppy sitters for a friend while they were out of town. The kids feel in love with little Ariah. She is like 4 months old and took a strong liking to Makayla. I think because she was the least loud and crazy. I have no doubt that when this puppy made it home she slept for the entire next day.

Maggie's dance recital

Maggie loves to dance so much that we started at the YMCA after the first of the year. She had her recital and loved every minute of it. We will have to see how the fall turns out whether she is doing dance again or if she goes to another path.
Maggie started with a much larger class and ended with 4 the last week. So needless to say the dance was not quite as polished as it could be but regardless Maggie had a blast and enjoyed every minute.

Easter morning

Easter morning was fun filled as well. Each had to find their baskets. Then open the basket of fun and then off to find eggs! They all seemed to enjoy their Easter morning. Then we dressed up and headed out to church after taking a couple pictures quick.

Grandma with the crew. We always stay with her when we go to my family's side and she is ALWAYS so warm and welcoming and so loving to my kids.

and the group and individual pics of the kids on Easter morning 2015!
PJ is 6 1/2 years old

Easter at Auntie Jacie's

My sister Jacie and her family host Easter each year. Jacie and Al always makes sure Easter is filled with a lot of fun for the kids.  The Easter bunny made its annual appearance and Brie was beyond thrilled, PJ was very skeptical and had  a lot of questions...
 Auntie Jacie and Uncle Al

My other sister Coke makes a yearly pinata', this year it was very cute but very tough to crack! All the kids got a turn and it finally had to be turned over to the older grandkids to get it open. Brie tried very hard but Todd finally got it break and scatter all over the kids, they were beyond thrilled!!!

Everyone is having to show daddy their haul. Each of them enjoy this day so much! Then followed the egg hunt. Again almost a picture out of a movie, eggs scattered and kids just running care free in the sun and gathering eggs. Our family gathering is up to about 75 to 80 people so it is a nice group!
On the way out to the hunt Kayla ate a piece of candy and broke a molar! I had no idea this was a normal kind of thing, when I spoke to the on call dentist she reassured us, no problem and she saw her Monday. Like she predicted her permanent tooth was right there and it just caused the tooth to crack. Well now I guess I know!

All in all it was a great day and so nice to spend time with family! A big thank you to Jacie, Al and family for hosting and to Auntie Coke for the great pinata'.!!
