Super Bowl

Our friends came over for the Super Bowl and some not so healthy snacks and fun. It was a good time and nice to catch up with them again. They truly are the sweetest family and all of our kids do very well together! Missing from the photo is Isaac and Brie, not sure how I missed them. I will get them next time!

QT with Granny and Pop

So Pete's folks came in for Brie's birthday and the little ones made sure they got some time with each of them as well. Crafts with Granny and games with Pop!

Pop was very patient with Brie's desire to play "ice" as well! Thanks for a terrific visit, it was a lot of fun to have you in town! We love our Granny and Pop very much!!

BRIE IS TWO!!!

Yesterday my baby turned 2!! and today we celebrated with a little mexican and strawberry shortcake with Granny and Pop! My nephew, wife and mom were unable to make the party because mother nature had other plans but Brie seemed to have a good time! She took forever opening presents, I think she was trying to make it last!

Melody had to watch the action as well and certainly enjoyed the empty boxes at the end.

Granny and Pop's present was as tall as Brie. I am sure she will get a lot of play out the scooter that was inside!

An impromptu tea party with the new tea set. It was tea all day for everyone in the house.

Last but not least, Brie is my only girl who has been into babies so I treated her to a Lee Middleton baby that looks like Brie! We will see if baby Kate becomes a favorite in our house or not. She is life like but only 17 inches long so still manageable for little fingers.

We did Brie 2 year check up yesterday and she was 28# 6 ounces, 80% and 34 inches tall, 60%. Falls right in line with the majority in our house, where our weight percentile exceeds our height percent!
At any rate Happy Birthday my sweet Brie Brie, I hope the next year is just as fun as the last two!! We all love you very much and are extremely happy you are a part of our family!!

Pop verses Melody

So anyone who follows the blog knows that Melody is not a friendly cat! My father in law is insisting on becoming her friend this weekend. He is trying so hard to have her like him! I hear lots of "growling" coming from her and lots of paw batting going on. I just do not trust this cat, she bites and she can make a person bleed. None the less Pop and Melody may have to continue with the current arrangement of like/dislike. He likes her, she dislikes him?? I tell you the two of them have given me more gray hairs that the baby turning two!

Pete had to get the snow blower out this morning for only the second time this entire winter season and PJ was all about watching. The funny in this picture is PJ's location, atop my sofa as high as he can go. He did not think this was wrong in the least, I got "need to see momma!" I guess who can argue with that.

IPAD savy cat

Even the cat is loving the IPAD. The other night on the news they said there was an app for cats! It is a mouse that moves around on the screen! She thinks it is the most frustrating game ever! She tries very hard, really digs her paws in and still cannot catch that darn little mouse! poor Melody!

Two peas in a pod

I realized today that these two do not get to play together Monday thru Friday now that PJ is in preschool. So today these little people were down in the basement just playing away without any big sister interruption for a long time! They would occasionally come up to check on me and down they went again.

Melody's favorite spot to hang out is on top of the office chair. PJ thought he would give her a ride. I overheard him tell her "Paws up Melody, just two paws Melody you can do it. It will be fun, PAWS UP!" I just had to laugh, he cracks me up.

Another funny for the day.... We went and got Kayla from school and PJ saw the newer style orange school buses and stated: "that bus is handsome momma, I want to ride on that boy bus!" I guess I did not realize that there were boy and girl buses, learn something new everyday!
