Soccer practise begins....

Soccer practise has begun and Kayla did well her first night back.

Maggie of course had to find a caterpillar, poor thing soccer practise couldn't be over soon enough for him!

Sticks and mud are always a good past time! Why she insists on playing in dirt in her good dresses is a little annoying!

Brie was not amused by practice and had to have her own fun in the van! good times!

Family Picnic

Each year my family has a gathering at my brothers acreage. It includes just my sibs, nieces and nephews and greats! That still rounds out to quite a large crowd but we all have such a great time and we all look forward to it each year!

Brie stylin'.

This year was a pirate theme and the kids had to go on a treasure hunt, they had to find pieces of a map and that map when assembled showed them where their loot was!

She just cracks me up! She would catch some water, then dump it on her head, and then stand there giggling under the bucket!

Roses

Sunday Pete and the big girls headed out for sweetcorn. When they came home the girls carried these roses in and gave me a very detailed explanation as to how they had picked the perfect ones! I got a major head cold this weekend and felt like garbage so Pete decided to make me smile! 2 dozen red roses, does this man love me or what! How did I get so lucky to have such a sweet husband and terrific kids!? I love all of you!!

Princess Gabriellie

The kids came up from downstairs just a giggling and trying to do a drumroll. Threw the doorway walks a very proud Brie! She loved that they dressed her up!

Though the dress is a bit long she could still do a good twirl! This was just the beginning of many outfit changes that evening. Brie proudly wore each one and had as good of a time as the others did.

sisters

It was a quick cheese, PJ missed out as he was napping. Not often do just the girls get a photo taken!

100 degrees and sand!

So for some reason I thought it would be okay for the kids to play in the sandbox. The poor things have been desperate to play with the sand but our temps have kept us indoors. I should not have said yes to opening the sandbox after seeing them only 3 minutes after they had been outside. Their hair was already sweaty and their little cheeks were bright red but oh well I thought. Needless to say we had STUCK sand EVERYWHERE! Did I mentioned I had just scrubbed my floors! uggg! any who we had to hose them off in the sink and Brie had a great time with this as well! go figure. Anyone know of any good advise for getting sand out of hair??
